Islamic Affairs Ministry Directs Mosques for Ramadan’s Final Ten Days

Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance instructed its branches across the Kingdom to ensure mosque staff comply with Ramadan regulations, particularly those related to itikaf-spiritual retreat-and the preparation of mosques for the last ten days of Ramadan. The directives aim to achieve the highest standards of tranquility and serenity for worshippers, allowing them to make the most of these blessed nights in line with the ministry’s mission and objectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry urged mosque staff, including imams and muezzins, to maintain full attendance and commitment to their duties, especially during these ten blessed nights. It reiterated the importance of adhering to the itikaf guidelines for designated mosques, stating that the imam is responsible for granting permits to those performing itikaf. Imams will ensure there are no violations and will collect relevant information, in addition to preparing spaces for those observing the Sunnah.
