The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has arranged school visits for students in Makkah to see the final qualifying contest in the 43rd edition of King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, held at the Grand Mosque.
The visits were arranged to enlighten young students on the Kingdom's efforts in serving the Holy Quran and motivate them by meeting with the contestants from the Islamic nation as they compete in memorizing the Holy Quran in this global competition.
The ministry showcased to school principals, faculty members, supervisors, and students the cultural and social activities and services provided to the contestants, including applying e-judging with the highest standards. It gave an overview of the competition's history.
The students and school members met with the judging committee, who advised the students to follow the Holy Quran's instructions with moderation in all life aspects.
At the end of the visit, the ministry presented gifts to the students and took souvenir photos on this occasion.
The final qualifiers for the competition concluded this morning with listening to the recitations of 111 contestants out of 166 from 117 countries around the globe. The competition's closing ceremony will be held next Wednesday, September 6, at the Grand Mosque, with a prize pool of SAR4 million.
