Iraq and South Korea stress the need to activate joint visits between the two countries

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr Al-Uloum, discussed today, Monday, with the Korean Ambassador to Baghdad, Song Soo Joy, the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Undersecretary stressed the need to activate joint visits between the two countries and work to complete and sign agreements and memorandums of understanding, pointing to the importance of holding the meetings of the ninth session of the Iraqi-Korean joint committee to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, and to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the Korean National Diplomatic Academy and the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute.

For his part, the Korean Ambassador expressed his country's desire to strengthen bilateral relations with Iraqi institutions in various fields, especially since Korean companies are actively contributing to infrastructure construction projects, especially health, energy and housing projects, noting that many Korean officials visited Iraq to strengthen bilateral relations.
