Doha: The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the unjustified and illegal Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, describing it as a blatant violation of the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter, as well as provisions of international human rights and humanitarian law.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the IPHRC emphasized that such aggressive and unlawful acts not only threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a member state but also intensify human suffering and violate the fundamental rights of civilians who become victims of these attacks.
Reiterating its full solidarity with the government and people of the State of Qatar, the IPHRC underscored its unwavering commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights under all circumstances.
It also called upon the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council and relevant international bodies, to take urgent and decisive action to halt these violations, ensure accountability, and uphold obligations under international law.
