Riyadh:The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 is offering a refreshed lineup of activities this year, featuring 12 Melwah races and new experiences such as hiking and marine fishing. These additions are complemented by heritage and educational content that highlights the history and practices of falconry.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition's activities have been expanded to include nature, adventure, and outdoor experiences. The marine fishing segment provides visitors an opportunity to learn about Saudi Arabia's maritime heritage and traditional fishing tools, while the hiking experience simulates walking and climbing trails in mountainous areas.
The Melwah races are scheduled from October 4 to 9 and have been expanded to include 12 races across various categories such as owners, amateurs, professionals, and elite. Participants will compete over a distance of 200 meters using six types of Farkh falcons: Hurr, Shaheen, Gyr Pure, Mathlooth Gyr, Gyr Taba', and Gyr Shaheen, with total prizes amounting to SAR723,000.
Beyond hunting and adventure activities, the exhibition also features an expanded participation of desert vehicles and caravans, showcasing new displays and equipment. Modern exhibits in the weapons area have also caught the attention of visitors.
Organized by the National Center for Falcons, the exhibition is being held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, and will continue through October 10.
