International Ministers Express Interest in Water Innovation Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

Rabigh: Ministers and officials from several countries expressed interest in joining programs hosted by the Rabigh Water Oasis in Rabigh Governorate and expanding cooperation with the Saudi Water Authority after touring the oasis's advanced research infrastructure, including more than 20 specialized laboratories, on the sidelines of Saudi Water Week.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegation comprised Pakistan's Federal Minister for Water Resources Muhammad Mueen Wattoo, Kosovo's Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fitore Pacolli Dalipi, Libya's Minister of Water Resources Husni Awidan, alongside official delegations from Italy, Oman, Kuwait, and Tunisia.

The Rabigh Water Oasis hosts an integrated innovation ecosystem that encompasses research and development, prototyping, capacity building, incubation, and the Global Water Innovation Platform (GWIP). Key technologies featured at the oasis include desalination, reverse osmosis membranes, water treatment, and artificial intelligence applications in water management.
