International Media Platforms Take Buraydah Dates Carnival Abroad, Contribute to Increasing Exports

The Buraydah Dates Carnival witnessed the arrival of many international media entities, channels and platforms to cover the movement of sales and purchases in the market and to photograph auctions that were characterized by their spontaneity, simplicity and attraction to customers through folk songs within the Dates City, located on over 150,000 square meters.

This coverage from the international media contributed directly to promoting the carnival and Buraydah dates, which played a role in increasing exports, where Saudi Arabia's exports of dates in 2022 reached SAR1.28 billion, an increase of 5.4% from 2021 and 121% from 2016 when the value stood at SAR579 million, while exports during the first quarter of 2023 saw a rise of over SAR566 million, up by 2.5% compared to the first quarter of 2022, where dates exports reached 116 countries.
