Riyadh: Executive Director of the International Dates Council Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz met with Secretary-General of the Middle East Green Initiative Ibrahim Alturki to explore potential cooperation opportunities. The meeting took place at the council's headquarters in Riyadh, focusing on the alignment of institutional efforts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alturki presented the initiative's programs, objectives, and sustainability efforts. In response, the council detailed its role in enhancing the date sector and facilitating international collaboration.

The discussions centered on shared interests, particularly leveraging the council's expertise to bolster the initiative's programs. Key focus areas included palm and oasis sustainability, water-resource efficiency, knowledge transfer, and the integration of sustainability with nutritional and economic outcomes.

The International Dates Council, based in Riyadh, consists of 17 member states and acts as a global authority on palm and date sector development. It aims to promote cooperation, exchange of expertise, and food security.
