Interior Ministry: Up to SAR100,000 Fine for Transporting Visit Visa Holders to Makkah, Holy Sites

Makkah: The Ministry of Interior stressed that a fine of up to SAR100,000 will be imposed on anyone who transports or attempts to transport holders of visit visas to Makkah or the holy sites, from the first day of Dhu Al-Qidah until the end of the 14th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry added that it will seek a court order to confiscate any land transportation vehicle proven to have been used in such violations if it is owned by the transporter, contributor, or accomplice.

The Ministry of Interior urged everyone to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions, which aim to maintain the safety and security of pilgrims so they may perform their rituals with ease and tranquility. It also called on the public to report violators of these regulations and instructions by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
