Riyadh: The General Department of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior is showcasing at the ministry's pavilion at the World Defense Show 2026 an artificial intelligence-enhanced capsule integrated with advanced communication technologies to deliver self-services and telemedicine, to provide remote healthcare, and to conduct necessary medical examinations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the smart capsule enables self-examinations and remote medical consultations with physicians, including measurements of height, weight, body mass and muscle mass, blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, energy requirements, heart rate, and heart rate variability. It analyzes beneficiaries' health data through embedded artificial intelligence (AI) and registers required medications via the Wasfaty system.
The service helps reduce the need to visit hospitals and primary healthcare centers, while providing a safe, private environment for conducting health examinations and medical consultations across all regions, governorates, and villages of the Kingdom.
