Interior Ministry Assists in Seizure of Drug Manufacturing Laboratory in Lebanon

Riyadh: Ministry of Interior security spokesperson Brigadier General Talal bin Shalhoub stated that, following proactive monitoring of criminal networks involved in drug trafficking and based on information provided by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior through the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to its counterpart in Lebanon, Lebanese authorities were able to seize a drug manufacturing laboratory.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the seizure included amphetamine and methamphetamine (shabu), 870 tablets subject to medical circulation regulations, 4,600 kilograms of hashish, precursor chemicals used in drug production, and firearms.

The security spokesperson noted the positive cooperation with the Lebanese counterpart in monitoring and seizing the narcotics, affirming that the Kingdom will continue to track criminal activities targeting its security and youth with drugs, and take all measures to confront and thwart them.
