Interior Minister Approves Strategic Plan for Crime Research Center

Riyadh: Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz has given the green light to the strategic plan for the Crime Research Center, a move that is seen as a significant step forward in the nation's efforts to enhance its criminological research and analytical capabilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the strategic plan was crafted with the input of experts in criminal research and analysis and is bolstered by the ministry's International Partnerships Program. The plan aims to advance research and analytical work by establishing a comprehensive crime database, training specialized personnel in criminology, utilizing artificial intelligence for data analysis and crime prediction, and fostering partnerships with universities and research centers both nationally and internationally.

The framework outlined in the plan is designed to support specialized studies and generate scientific knowledge. This effort is expected to equip security decision-makers with evidence-based information, thereby enhancing preventive measures against crime.

Furthermore, the strategic plan is in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to improve the quality of life by strengthening crime prevention initiatives and supporting overall national objectives.
