Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef engaged in bilateral meetings with leaders from several global companies specializing in advanced manufacturing technologies and marine industries. The discussions centered around promising investment opportunities in these sectors and the initiatives provided by the Kingdom to facilitate investors’ journeys.
According to Saudi Press Agency, these meetings were conducted on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) Conference in Riyadh. The discussions aimed to strengthen joint cooperation in the industrial sector, review the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy, and highlight the investment opportunities it presents in advanced manufacturing, ship design, construction, maintenance, and the transfer of the latest technologies to the Kingdom.
The meetings further explored the enablers and incentives offered by the industrial ecosystem to promote specialized industrial investments and empower investors, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The companies involved in these discussions included Taiwan’s GIGABYTE Group, specializing in computing and artificial intelligence systems; Giga Computing Technology, focused on data centers; Italy’s Fincantieri, a leader in ship design and construction; Italy’s D-Orbit, active in the satellite industry; and the U.S.-based Intel Corporation.
Additionally, Minister Alkhorayef witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Industrial Development Center and Fincantieri, aimed at enhancing partnerships in the marine industries sector. These interactions took place during the FII9 Conference, a global platform that unites decision-makers, business leaders, and experts worldwide to discuss strategies for stimulating the global economy and exploring the future of investment amid rapid technological and economic changes.
