Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has held bilateral meetings with senior executives of several leading companies in industrial automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on the promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom, particularly in localizing cutting-edge smart manufacturing technologies and semiconductor production. The meetings also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to advance industrial transformation, along with the initiatives and programs aimed at localizing advanced manufacturing technologies and strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem. This includes the Future Factories Program, which seeks to transform more than 4,000 factories into smart manufacturing facilities that rely on automation and advanced technologies.
The meetings further explored opportunities to develop specialized training programs to enhance the competitiveness of national talent and equip them with the advanced skills required to operate Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. They also highlighted the enablers and incentives offered by the industrial ecosystem to support smart industrial transformation and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies across national factories-enhancing the efficiency of the industrial sector and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The companies engaged in discussions with Alkhorayef included ABB, a global leader in industrial automation solutions; Optical Standard, a prominent technology company particularly known for its semiconductor capabilities; and Virtual Mind Holding (VMH) Company Limited, a leading firm in artificial intelligence technologies.
These meetings were held on the sidelines of the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition, which is organized by the ministry of industry and mineral resources in partnership with Deutsche Messe and Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, with the participation of global industrial transformation leaders, local and international industrial and technology companies, and a distinguished group of entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and innovators.
