Industry Minister Concludes Official Visit to India, Strengthens Strategic Partnerships

New Delhi: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef concluded an official visit to the Republic of India, encompassing key meetings in New Delhi and Mumbai. During his visit, he engaged with government officials and leaders from major Indian companies to bolster strategic partnerships in industry and mining, and to attract high-quality investments to the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meetings emphasized the robust economic ties between the Kingdom and India. Discussions centered on enhancing collaboration in industry and mining sectors, exploring reciprocal investment opportunities in sectors such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, heavy machinery, automotives, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Additionally, the dialogue addressed cooperation in mineral exploration, geological surveying, and innovative solutions for mining operations.

A series of bilateral government meetings were conducted, including talks with the Minister of Trade and Industry,
the Minister of Coal and Mines, and the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers. These meetings underscored the mutual interest in deepening economic relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration.

In both New Delhi and Mumbai, Minister Alkhorayef also engaged in roundtable discussions and bilateral meetings with private sector leaders and executives from India’s leading industrial and mining firms. He showcased the Saudi National Industry Strategy and the Comprehensive Mining Strategy, highlighting the Kingdom’s potential and appeal as a destination for foreign investors.
