Industry Minister and Tunisian Economy Minister Engage with Saudi-Tunisian Business Council

Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Tunisia Dr. Samir Abdulhafidh held a joint meeting today with the chairmen and members of the Saudi-Tunisian Business Council. The meeting discussed ways to expand investment partnerships and enable the private sector to capitalize on available opportunities in both countries, on the sidelines of the 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee held in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting underscored the strength of Saudi-Tunisian relations and the depth of bilateral economic ties between the two brotherly countries, which serve as a solid foundation for enhancing investment partnerships. It also stressed the importance of the private sector in both the Kingdom and Tunisia as a strategic partner in achieving sustainable development and exploring quality investment opportunities that contribute to diversifying the economic base and align with the development goals of both nations.

The meeting reviewed the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which focus on strengthening economic and industrial partnerships and achieving integration with Arab countries to advance sustainable development and mutual interests.

The meeting also addressed several regulatory challenges facing investors in both countries, and the two sides agreed to work jointly to address them through coordination among relevant entities to create a more attractive investment environment.

The meeting concluded with a focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation and economic integration across a number of priority strategic sectors.
