Riyadh: The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, hosted a webinar for British mining companies to highlight promising investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector, focusing on mineral exploration.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the webinar is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to accelerate resource development and attract high-quality investments. It drew 70 participants from various UK-based mining companies, reflecting the growing interest of British investors in Saudi Arabia’s dynamic mining landscape.
During the session, participants were briefed on the 2025 exploration opportunities across high-potential geological zones in Saudi Arabia. The presentation highlighted the Kingdom’s streamlined licensing process, robust geological data, and comprehensive investor support framework. It also outlined a range of incentives and enablers designed to support and empower investors in the mining sector.
A key focus of the webinar was the ministry’s plan to issue exploration licenses for mining sites covering more than 50,000 square kilometers in 2025. This initiative, first announced during the fourth edition of the Future Minerals Forum in January 2025, aims to expand exploration activities and boost investment in this vital industry.
The webinar aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to accelerate mineral exploration and development, positioning the mining sector as a major economic pillar in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
