Riyadh: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) launched a military training program today aimed at enhancing the readiness of security and military personnel in Republic of the Gambia. The launch ceremony was attended by Gambian Minister of Defense Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof and the IMCTC secretary-general, Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative seeks to train specialized counterterrorism personnel in the Gambia, with 25 participants from the ministry of defense and 25 from the ministry of interior taking part in the three-week program. The training includes theoretical sessions, practical exercises, and live-fire field drills designed to equip participants with the skills and capabilities needed to effectively and professionally counter terrorist threats and operations.
