IMCTC and Sierra Leone Discuss Enhanced Cooperation Against Terrorism

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Mohammed Al-Moghedi received Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom Mohammed S. Barrie at the coalition’s headquarters in Riyadh as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed the coalition’s efforts and strategic initiatives aimed at supporting member states in combating terrorism and extremism. They also discussed prospects for cooperation with Sierra Leone, particularly in capacity building, the exchange of expertise, and joint action.

Ambassador Barrie was briefed on the coalition’s methodology and its specialized programs across its four pillars: intellectual, media, countering the financing of terrorism, and military. He was also informed about the coalition’s role in strengthening integration and coordination among member states to address current and emerging security challenges.

Both sides underscored the importance of continued communication and cooperation in supporting efforts to combat terrorism and in consolidating security and stability at the regional and international levels.
