According to Saudi Press Agency, the sand cat is a wild mammal adapted to desert environments, distinguished by its ability to withstand harsh climatic conditions and its exceptional camouflage and mobility skills across sand dunes. This adaptability makes it one of the most prominent species representing desert ecosystems in the Arabian Peninsula.

The continued sighting of the sand cat comes amid ongoing efforts to protect wildlife and maintain ecological balance through safe natural habitats and strengthened protection programs.

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve is Saudi Arabia's second-largest nature reserve, spanning 91,500 square kilometers and hosting numerous native species and plants, positioning it as a key national pillar for natural resource conservation.
