Imam Al-Sudais Calls for Ethical AI Use and Condemns Houthi Attacks

Makkah:In a Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque, Imam Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais emphasized the importance of ethical use of social media and artificial intelligence, describing them as blessings that require responsible application.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Al-Sudais highlighted the moral accountability tied to these technologies and urged mindfulness regarding online content. He cautioned against using artificial intelligence for malicious activities such as forgery, creating false media, impersonation, fraud, and spreading rumors. He stressed the necessity of verifying information before dissemination and advocated for safeguarding privacy and personal honor.

The imam also denounced the Houthi militia's terrorist attacks on Makkah and Madinah, labeling them as severe violations of Islamic law and international agreements. He underscored that the security of the Two Holy Mosques is a non-negotiable boundary.
