IDC Executive Director Meets with Bahraini Agriculture Minister to Discuss Date Observatory Initiatives

Manama: Executive Director of the International Dates Council (IDC) Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz met yesterday in Manama with Bahraini Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak. During the meeting, they discussed the next steps related to the International Date Observatory, in addition to several related legal and operational matters. The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations that will form the basis for the next phase of joint work. This meeting falls within the framework of strengthening institutional coordination and cooperation and supports joint Gulf efforts related to food security and sustainable development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the IDC delegation, represented by Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz, also attended a meeting held yesterday at Al-Qudaibiya Palace by Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in response to an invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the Bahrain Animal and Agriculture Production Show (Mara’ee 2025). The event was attended by a number of senior officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the municipal, plant and animal resources, and food diversity sectors.
