Riyadh: The International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), in partnership with IBM, has launched the third edition of the Elevate initiative, which aims to train a total of 25,000 women in artificial intelligence.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch took place Tuesday during the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026) in Riyadh. It coincided with the graduation ceremony for the initiative's second cohort, celebrating their acquisition of knowledge and skills in AI and its ethics.

Elevate supports women's participation in advanced technology fields and strengthens their contribution to developing innovative and responsible solutions. It is part of efforts by ICAIRE and its partners to expand women's participation in the AI ecosystem and build a skilled workforce capable of contributing to a more inclusive and responsible technological future.

The initiative also aligns with GFEAI's objectives of promoting the ethical use of AI and harnessing it to serve people and society.
