Riyadh: The Humanizing the Holy Sites Hackathon kicked off on Sunday as part of the first day of the fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition. The hackathon is organized by Umm Al-Qura University and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah: The hackathon serves as a competitive platform that hosts engineers, designers, and specialists. They come together to develop innovative architectural and design solutions that enhance the human experience at the holy sites, creating greater comfort, tranquility, and sustainability for pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the hackathon aims to foster sustainable urban environments that prioritize human needs while maintaining environmental balance through practical projects that support Saudi Arabia’s vision to make the holy sites more human-centered and aligned with modern requirements.
