Human Resources Ministry Unveils Volunteer Programs for Pilgrims at Key Sites

Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched a package of volunteer initiatives to serve pilgrims as part of its operational plans for the Hajj season, enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims and raising the efficiency of volunteer work at high-density locations, in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at promoting volunteerism culture and empowering the nonprofit sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the volunteer initiatives covered several vital locations, including the Grand Mosque, holy sites, and King Abdulaziz International Airport, through trained volunteer teams working to provide guidance, support, and organization, while facilitating pilgrims' movement from the moment of their arrival until their transportation between different locations.

The ministry continues to support volunteer work through empowering national competencies and expanding community participation in major seasons, in a way that reinforces the values of giving and social responsibility and increases the contribution of the volunteer sector to sustainable national development.
