Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presided over a Cabinet session in Jeddah, focusing on Saudi Arabia's international relations and strategic national developments.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet examined recent activities aimed at enhancing ties with numerous countries and intensifying efforts for global peace and security. The session highlighted the participation of the Saudi delegation in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week, where the Kingdom reiterated its dedication to combating terrorism through international cooperation.

The Cabinet celebrated the adoption of a Saudi-led resolution on women empowerment in cybersecurity by the UN Human Rights Council. This resolution is part of a broader initiative by the Crown Prince to advance women's roles in technology sectors globally.

Saudi Arabia's leadership in digital development was also acknowledged, with the country achieving first place in the International Telecommunication Union's ICT Development Index 2026. This milestone underscores the Kingdom's evolving digital infrastructure and its position as a leader in future technologies within the MENA region.

The session also acknowledged Saudi Arabia's re-election as chair of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, reflecting its influence in the civil aviation sector.

Furthermore, the Cabinet noted the World Bank's recognition of Saudi Arabia's AI Sandbox in education as a model for digital learning, supporting the integration of modern technologies in education.

Reviewing performance indicators, the Cabinet noted the nonprofit sector's growth and its increasing contribution to the GDP, with over 7,200 nonprofit organizations and 1.7 million volunteers by 2025.

The Cabinet addressed several international agreements, including visa exemptions with Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Poland; a cooperation memorandum with Singapore on social development; and a memorandum with Canada on nuclear and radiological regulation. Additional agreements involved cultural collaboration with Oman, justice cooperation with Turkey, and transportation innovations with Spain.

The Cabinet also endorsed the creation of a unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at streamlining visa processes.
