HRH Crown Prince and Palestinian President Discuss Support for Palestinian Cause

Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, engaged in a phone conversation with the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, to deliberate on recent developments and efforts supporting the Palestinian cause.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President Abbas began the call by expressing gratitude for the Kingdom’s steadfast efforts and principled positions, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince. These efforts have encouraged numerous countries to recognize the State of Palestine. President Abbas also praised the Kingdom’s leadership for its active coordination during the New York conference, which aimed to garner broad international support for the Palestinian cause, and for its enduring commitment to the Palestinian people and their just struggle.

The conversation included discussions on the situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly the security and humanitarian implications. HRH the Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the crimes, brutal practices, and forced displacement attempts against the Palestinian people. He emphasized the necessity for the international community to address the severe consequences of such aggression and to ensure the protection of civilians.
