HRC Concludes Training Program on Women’s Rights Convention

Riyadh: The Human Rights Commission (HRC) today concluded a five-day training-of-trainers program focused on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The program took place at the HRC headquarters in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

According to Saudi Press Agency, HRC President Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri emphasized the significance of building specialized national capacities in human rights as a fundamental approach to raising awareness and promoting a culture of human rights. She highlighted the importance of investing in and empowering national talent to facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity development within their organizations.

The program gathered participants from various government entities and civil society organizations. It aimed at enhancing knowledge of international standards concerning women's rights, developing training skills, and preparing qualified trainers capable of effectively transferring knowledge.

The initiative seeks to boost community awareness of women's rights and support the sustainability of national human-rights efforts.
