Hot Weather and Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Regions

Riyadh: Hot to extremely hot weather conditions are forecasted to persist in the Eastern Region, with the heat extending into parts of the Northern Borders, Qassim, and Riyadh regions. Gusty winds coupled with blowing dust are anticipated to continue affecting these areas, as well as Makkah, Madinah, Tabuk, and Al-Jouf regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds remain a possibility in parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, and in the southern highlands of the Makkah Region. In the Red Sea, winds are expected to be northerly to northwesterly in the northern and central parts at speeds of 20-45 km/h, while in the southern part, they will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10-32 km/h, reaching up to 45 km/h during thunderstorms. Wave heights might range from half a meter to two meters, exceeding two meters during thunderstorms, making the sea conditions slight to moderate.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will transition from northwesterly to southwesterly in the northern and central parts at speeds of 10-32 km/h, shifting in the evening to southeasterly to southerly at speeds of 10-20 km/h. In the southern part, winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-20 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to remain relatively calm with waves ranging from half a meter to one meter.
