His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (49) of 2023, amending some provisions of Decree (77) of 2007 promulgating the establishment of the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C and authorising the amendment of the company’s Article of Association and bylaw, based on a proposal by the Minister of Finance and national Economy, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Article (1):

The decree stipulates that the phrase "Bapco Energies" shall replace the phrase " Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C" wherever it appears in Decree (77) of 2007 promulgating the establishment of the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C, as well as in other related decrees and edicts.

Article (2):

Subject to the provisions of Article (76) of the Commercial Companies Law promulgated by Decree-Law (21) of 2001, an amendment to the Article of Association and bylaw of the Oil and Gas Holding Company is authorised in accordance with this decree.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this decree, which comes into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
