Heavy Rain and Gusty Winds Expected in Multiple Regions Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, with potential for flash floods and hail, is anticipated in several regions of Saudi Arabia on Monday. The affected areas include the Northern Borders, Eastern, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Madinah, and Makkah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, gusty and dust-stirring winds are predicted to persist in these regions and extend into Al-Jouf and Tabuk. There is also a possibility of thundercloud formation in parts of Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan regions.

In terms of maritime conditions, winds over the Red Sea will vary from northwesterly to northerly at 15-40 km/h in northern and central areas, while the southern part will experience southeasterly to southerly winds at 18-48 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to two meters, keeping the sea relatively calm.

For the Arabian Gulf, winds will transition from westerly to northwesterly, shifting to northeasterly to northerly by noon in the northern part at speeds of 20-50 km/h. In the central and southern parts, winds will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 12-32 km/h. Wave heights will vary from half a meter to over two meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.
