Heavy Rain and Flash Floods Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, potentially leading to flash floods, is predicted for Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and parts of the Hail regions, with hail and gusty winds accompanying the downpour. Light to moderate rain is anticipated in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Qassim.

According to Saudi Press Agency, fog formation is likely in these areas, while dust-stirring winds are expected to affect parts of Madinah and Eastern regions. Over the Red Sea, winds will vary, being northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts at speeds of 15-35 km/h, and southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part at speeds of 10-50 km/h. Waves are anticipated to range from half a meter to over two meters, with sea conditions being calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to northerly winds are expected at speeds of 20-45 km/h. Waves may range from one meter to two and a half meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.
