Riyadh: The Ministry of Health is set to launch the first Saudi Walking League, “Walk 30 League,” from March 11 to 15, as part of the ongoing ministry-led campaign Walk 30, aiming to encourage a healthy lifestyle and contribute to Vision 2030’s goals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, teams comprising 4-7 individuals can sign up between March 8-11 and will be tasked with walking for 30 minutes daily (approximately 8,000 steps).
The league will conclude with a ceremony on April 26, coinciding with the fifth edition of the campaign, featuring prize drawings through the “Sehhaty” app.
The nationwide Walk 30 campaign aims to increase life expectancy to 80 years by 2030. It has effectively engaged people of diverse age groups in physical activities during its previous four seasons.
