Makkah:The Hajj and Omrah Health Society has delivered healthcare services to 433 pilgrims and visitors in Makkah through a dedicated health initiative conducted by healthcare professionals and volunteers from October 16 to 30.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative provided primary care directly to pilgrims and visitors at prayer areas in the central district surrounding the Grand Mosque, as well as at hotels and public facilities. The goal was to protect their health, raise awareness, and reduce health risks during their Umrah pilgrimage.
The services offered included checking vital signs, conducting initial health assessments, providing health education, and administering first aid and medical treatment when necessary. Cases requiring further medical attention were monitored and referred to the appropriate health authorities for additional care.
The society emphasized that this initiative is part of its continuous efforts to enhance health prevention and preparedness, and to promote health volunteering in service of pilgrims. This aligns with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program under the Saudi Vision 2030 framework.
