The Health Endowment Fund has launched the fourth edition of the "Private Health Sector Giving" initiative, held annually in conjunction with National Day celebrations. The fund facilitates access to free medical services at private healthcare entities for patients in need; this year's focus is on supporting mental health. Eight organizations specialized in mental health are participating in the initiative. They are scheduled to provide 3,200 free psychological consultations for patients in need throughout the Kingdom. The initiative came as a result of the private health sector's desire to contribute to and support the healthcare system. It is part of the ongoing efforts exerted by the fund, in partnership with the private health sector, to promote social responsibility and improve the quality of life, by offering free services in a different medical field each year. In previous editions over 7,000 free medical procedures were carried out, with contributions from 25 private healthcare institutions. The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goal of improving the quality of life of and healthcare services to the community. Source: Saudi Press Agency
