Riyadh: Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Corporate Affairs and Head of the Egyptian Tourism Hajj Mission Samia Sami praised this year’s Hajj season as one of the most successful and distinguished in recent memory.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Assistant Minister Sami attributed the success to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s advanced and integrated system for managing the pilgrimage. ‘These achievements are the result of comprehensive digital transformation, intelligent crowd management, and major enhancements in infrastructure and services provided to pilgrims,’ she said.

She highlighted that pilgrims from Egyptian tourism companies performed their rituals this year in an atmosphere marked by tranquility, efficient organization, and deep spirituality. She noted that the high level of coordination and commitment by the Egyptian tour companies had a direct impact on the satisfaction of the pilgrims.

Assistant Minister Sami also praised the “Nusuk” smart card for its role in streamlining services and integrating pilgrim data into a unified digital system. Additionally, she commended the swift and orderly entry procedures at Jeddah and Madinah airports, which significantly reduced waiting times and contributed to the smooth flow of pilgrims.

She further lauded the Kingdom’s use of smart dispatch systems, shuttle services, and the Mashaer train, all of which enabled the efficient and comfortable movement of pilgrims between the holy sites. Measures taken to curb unauthorized Hajj participation also contributed to a secure and well-regulated season, as entry to Makkah and the holy sites was limited strictly to those with official permits.

Assistant Minister Sami expressed her deep appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its exceptional organization, reaffirming the Egyptian government’s commitment to continued cooperation with Saudi authorities to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of pilgrims in every Hajj season.
