Hayy Jameel Unveils Extensive Arts and Cultural Program in Jeddah

Jeddah: Hayy Jameel in Jeddah strengthened its cultural presence throughout June with a diverse program of visual arts, creative workshops, cinema, and community initiatives, offering a wide range of events that enriched visitors' cultural and educational experiences.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program began with the unveiling of a public art installation on the facade of Hayy Jameel, inspired by the traditional umbrellas that line Jeddah's streets. The event was accompanied by a series of dialogues and workshops that explored its artistic and cultural significance.

In the field of crafts, Hayy Makers organized specialized courses in pottery and woodworking, while the Jameel Library hosted workshops on comparative literature, Palestinian embroidery, and creative writing.

The Hayy Sounds program also launched its inaugural drumming sessions, offering participants a collaborative artistic experience that fosters creative expression and community engagement. Meanwhile, Hayy Cinema continued its program of carefully curated Arab and international films, exploring themes of identity, memory, and human relations.
