GSR-25 Session Discusses Collaborative Regulation in the Digital Era

Riyadh: A panel discussion titled ‘Leading the Convergence: Cross-Regulatory Collaboration for a Digital Era’ was held as part of the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25), hosted by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) today. The session highlighted the latest international trends and practices in regulating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with a focus on strengthening cooperation among countries in this field.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Governor and Board Member of the Digital Government Authority Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Alsuwaiyan emphasized that the Kingdom’s digital transformation efforts are anchored in Saudi Vision 2030. This vision positions digitalization as a key pillar in building a more efficient and inclusive future. He outlined that the Kingdom’s initiatives, based on a unified digital identity and an integrated regulatory framework, aim to establish a global model of digital governance centered on citizens, improving efficiency, enhancing quality of life, and facilitating government services.

He further noted that Riyadh’s leadership in artificial intelligence and digital governance marks an important step toward shaping a future grounded in trusted digital identities, sound regulation of emerging technologies, and enhanced global digital security.
