Riyadh: The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, who also serves as the President of the Council of Senior Scholars and heads the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, has met with Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, along with his delegation in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during this significant meeting, the Grand Mufti outlined the substantial contributions of the Council of Senior Scholars. He detailed that the council has issued over 30,000 fatwas, made more than 200 decisions, and released numerous statements aimed at guiding Muslims globally.
The Grand Mufti also emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques, a dedication firmly supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance services for pilgrims, which is evident in the increasing number
of worshipers and visitors to the mosques throughout the year.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended by the Kingdom. He praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for its steadfast support of Pakistan on various fronts. Furthermore, he acknowledged the Kingdom’s vital role and contributions to the welfare and unity of the Muslim world.
