Grand Mosque Enforces High Standards for Iftar Meal Safety

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque implements rigorous inspection standards for iftar meals served at the Grand Mosque. These standards include visual inspections, ensuring safe storage away from contamination, verifying expiration dates and the absence of pollutants, confirming packaging integrity, and checking for spoiled ingredients.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ingredient quality is also monitored, and samples are sent to the Grand Mosque’s laboratory for comprehensive analysis. This laboratory, under the authority’s purview, conducts microbiological and chemical analyses to guarantee the health and safety of pilgrims.

These measures are part of the authority’s commitment to prioritizing public health and ensuring the comfort and safety of all visitors within the Grand Mosque.
