Governor Tours Diriyah Authority Projects, Underscores Push for Global Destination Status

Riyadh: Governor of Diriyah Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz conducted a field tour on Thursday of projects implemented by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), reviewing progress and services provided.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor stated that the inspections are part of ongoing efforts to achieve the leadership's vision, enhance integration among development projects, and reinforce Diriyah's position as a global destination for heritage, culture, and tourism. He emphasized that these efforts are also aimed at improving the quality of life in the governorate.

He highlighted that development in Diriyah is progressing rapidly in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative is led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The governor further noted that the projects are significantly contributing to the growth of the tourism and cultural sectors. He remarked that Diriyah's rising local and international profile is a testament to its historical significance.

Concluding the tour, Prince Rakan bin Salman expressed appreciation to DGDA and its officials for their efforts in delivering projects that benefit the local community in Diriyah and Riyadh city.
