Global Innovation Network for Sustainability Launched in Madinah

Madinah:University of Prince Mugrin President Dr. Bandar Hajjar has launched the Madinah global innovation for sustainability network, a key outcome of the International Conference on Technology and Engineering Innovation for Sustainability (SusTAIN 2026). The event was held under the patronage of Madinah Region Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the network serves as an international platform connecting scientists, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders in industry and investment. Its goal is to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical application, driving investment and transforming knowledge into actionable solutions for sustainability challenges to improve quality of life.

Dr. Hajjar emphasized that establishing this platform in Madinah underlines the university's dedication to enhancing the global impact of innovation and promoting international collaboration.

The network aims to accelerate technology transfer, support startups, attract strategic investments, and foster multi-sector collaboration. Its primary areas of focus include smart cities, urban humanization, water and energy, climate and circular economies, artificial intelligence, sustainable engineering, healthcare, and capacity building.
