San diego: The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) is participating in the Esri User Conference, which is taking place from July 14 to 18 in San Diego, United States. Through its dedicated pavilion, GEOSA is demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s progress in developing its national geospatial infrastructure, in alignment with Vision 2030. This initiative is focused on optimizing the use of geospatial information to support development sectors and achieve national goals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, GEOSA is sharing the Kingdom’s methodologies for the governance of national geospatial data, including the establishment of policies and standards based on international best practices. The authority is emphasizing its efforts in building national geospatial capabilities, increasing awareness and knowledge of geospatial information, encouraging research and innovation, and integrating geospatial data with modern technologies to facilitate informed decision-making.
