Riyadh: The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) has received the ISO 20000-1:2018 certification for information-technology (IT) service management, recognizing the systems and procedures of its data center.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this achievement underscores GEOSA’s dedication to implementing the highest international standards and best practices in IT service management. The certification is a global benchmark that necessitates the establishment of an integrated IT service management system. It encompasses the improvement of the quality and efficiency of technical services provided to beneficiaries, as well as the enhancement of business continuity and operational readiness of data centers.

The certification also emphasizes key areas such as the application of governance controls and risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, focusing on user satisfaction, elevating the digital experience, and the development of measurable and continuously improving technical processes.
