General Authority for Care of the Two Holy Mosques Completes Preparations for Ramadan at Prophet’s Mosque

Medina: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has completed its preparations to welcome worshipers and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH, implementing an integrated system of services to ensure a seamless experience.

According to Saudi Press Agency, extensive arrangements have been made to accommodate worshipers, ensure accessible prayer areas, and organize visits to the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa. The preparations include enabling visitors to greet the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions, along with special provisions for those breaking their fast.

The authority has allocated 161 cleaning vehicles for maintaining the mosque’s floors. The Prophet’s Mosque is illuminated by 138,560 lighting lamps and equipped with 6,060 loudspeakers. Additionally, 114 electronic screens have been installed within the mosque and its courtyards to provide continuous informational content.

For visitor convenience, the auth
ority has prepared 2,782 restrooms, 180 escalators, 25 elevators, and 300 golf carts. Moreover, 30,000 chairs have been provided for the elderly. Sanitation measures include washing and sterilizing the mosque five times daily and perfuming it four times a day. The mosque’s floors are covered with 27,000 carpets to enhance comfort for worshipers.
