General Authority Enhances Children’s Spiritual Experience at Grand Mosque.

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has taken significant steps to enhance the spiritual experience of children at the Grand Mosque. Special attention is given to young visitors accompanying pilgrims and worshippers, ensuring their safety and engagement during their visit.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority provides various services to enrich children’s spiritual journey at the Prophet’s Mosque. One of the notable services is the provision of bracelets that include personal details and a contact number, designed to ensure the safety of children and facilitate quick reunification with their parents if they get lost. These bracelets are equipped with QR codes containing multilingual information in languages such as Urdu, Bengali, Malay, Persian, Turkish, Hausa, English, and French, facilitating communication with pilgrims from different nationalities.

The service is particularly emphasized during peak seasons, when there is a significant influx of pilgr
ims, making it crucial to prevent children from getting lost in the vast areas of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque. The authority’s efforts are carefully managed around the clock during these times to ensure the safety and well-being of all child visitors.

Additionally, the authority has established a children’s library in the women’s section of the Grand Mosque Library. This library offers a variety of programs, activities, and initiatives designed for different age groups. The aim is to foster a love for knowledge, enhance creative skills, and boost language abilities among children. The library houses over 2,400 books suitable for various age groups, including illustrated stories that simplify information in an engaging manner.

Moreover, the library organizes meaningful competitions and interactive activities such as craft making and art inspired by the landmarks of the Grand Mosque. These initiatives aim to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience for children visiting the holy sites.
