Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi welcomed the announcement made by President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, regarding a ceasefire in the Republic of Lebanon. Albudaiwi emphasized the GCC's support for Lebanon and its commitment to the country's sovereignty, security, and stability. According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi expressed support for the decisions taken by President of the Republic of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, and the Lebanese government. These decisions are aimed at achieving security, peace, prosperity, and development for the Lebanese people.
