Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi received a phone call today from Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America Christopher Landau. During the call, the two sides discussed the latest regional developments and topics of mutual interest, exchanging views on these matters. They also explored ways to bolster strategic relations between the GCC and the United States through joint working groups across various fields.
According to Saudi Press Agency, both parties emphasized the significance of continued joint coordination and the intensification of efforts aimed at backing security and stability in the region, in a manner that serves mutual interests and enhances opportunities for cooperation between the two parties. Albudaiwi highlighted the GCC's keenness to strengthen its international partnerships, foremost among them the partnership with the United States. He expressed his appreciation for the role and efforts of the US Deputy Secretary of State in cementing Gulf-US relations.
