Kuwait City: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi announced that the 162nd ministerial meeting of the GCC will be held on Thursday, November 28, in preparation for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC in the State of Kuwait. The meeting will be chaired by Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait – president of the current Ministerial Council – and attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi emphasized that the convening of the 162nd preparatory ministerial council continues the preparations for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the State of Kuwait. The session will be attended by the leaders of the GCC countries.
Albudaiwi explained that the GCC Ministerial Council will review a number of reports related to the follow-up on the implementation of the Supreme Council’s decisions issu
ed by the 44th summit held in Doha. It will also discuss memoranda and reports submitted by ministerial and technical committees and the General Secretariat, along with issues related to dialogue and strategic relations between the GCC countries and international countries and blocs. In addition, the meeting will discuss the latest regional and international developments in the region.
