GCC Secretary General, in Meeting with Indonesian Minister of Trade, Stresses Importance of Discussing Means to Enhance Economic Cooperation

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al Hajraf has stressed the importance of discussing means to enhance and support economic cooperation between the GCC and the Republic of Indonesia, in addition to developing it to achieve joint interests.

This came during Al-Hajraf's meeting today with Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.

During the meeting, several issues were discussed, most notably the GCC-Indonesian relations and efforts exerted to boost them, especially in the economic and development fields, and the need to support the business sector to develop trade relations and to take advantage of the available opportunities.

The meeting also reviewed developments regarding a memorandum of understanding signed between the GCC and the Republic of Indonesia, the appropriate mechanisms for its implementation, and means to intensify joint efforts to enhance partnership and cooperation in various fields.
